Oleksiy (Alex) Gutor grew up surrounded by the sport of volleyball. His father played and coached at the professional and national team level, and Alex spent his childhood watching, learning, and peppering with pro players. Though his first sport was tennis, he quickly transitioned to volleyball and never looked back.
No matter where he played, Alex was known for being one of the fittest, quickest, and most versatile athletes on the court. Competing in different countries exposed him to a wide range of strength training methods, but one thing remained consistent: volleyball players have unique physical demands, and traditional strength programs don’t always address their needs.
Through over a decade of professional competition, Alex saw firsthand how neglecting key areas of the body led to chronic injuries in volleyball players. Weak ankles, unstable knees, tight hips, compromised backs and shoulders—all common issues that limit performance and cut careers short.
Alex’s own kids train with Pro Volley Bands, and no surprise—they’re strong, athletic, and well-rounded. Now, he’s passing this system on to the next generation of volleyball players.
